Welcome, I am Renee Olson, and I purchased Escapade Salon in 2022.  I started as a stylist in 1989 and obtained my massage therapist license in 1997.  When my good friend and manager from a previous salon said she was going to open her own business, I was all in.  

Escapade Salon was started in 2013 by Theresa Gillette-Laufenberg and since the beginning, she has mentored me in taking ownership.  When it finally happened, I was nervous and scared but knowing what a great staff we have, I knew it would be ok.

We are a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon and the largest in the Midwest.  We love receiving the hands-on education and support that Paul Mitchell provides for us. We have attended the Gathering in Las Vegas on 6+ occasions for training with the top educators in the world. We have also won the People’s Choice Best Hair Salon, Best Nail Salon, Best Spa and Best Gift Shop or Madison’s Favorite in those categories since 2016.  In addition, we have had our amazing staff also win or place for Best Stylist and Best Esthetician.

Our salon believes in giving back to our community. We enjoy supporting and helping Sandburg Elementary School and host a Back-to-School Drive, Fill the Food Pantry and a Holiday Giving Tree for the school helping numerous families. I can proudly say that our guests love giving as much as we do with these events and step in to help us as well. This is a tradition that we want to continue with all your support.

When I am not at the salon, I enjoy gardening, refreshing my home and exploring my creative side.  I have a husband who retired from law enforcement and he works behind the scenes supporting my dreams.  We have 2 grown sons and 2 great daughter-in-laws.  As a family we enjoy cooking and eating family dinners with all our fur babies.

We are so thankful to have such a wonderful team of stylists, nail techs, massage therapists and receptionists. They are our family, and you will feel the warmth as soon as you walk into the salon. We are blessed!
